AC Repair
Warm air, short cycling, iced coils or a breaker that keeps tripping — diagnosed and fixed in one visit where parts allow.
Whether it's a July heat wave or a January cold snap, Aireco keeps Boise homes and shops at the temperature you set. Licensed, insured, and on your street the same day.
We explain what's wrong, show you the part, and quote the repair before we pick up a wrench. No upsell, no pressure.
No heat at 2am? We answer.
NATE-certified, background checked.
Aireco started in a two-bay shop on Chinden Boulevard in 2009 with one van and one promise: show up when we say we will. Sixteen years later there are eleven vans, the same promise, and about 2,900 Treasure Valley households who hold us to it.
Warm air, short cycling, iced coils or a breaker that keeps tripping — diagnosed and fixed in one visit where parts allow.
Gas and electric furnaces cleaned, tuned and safety-tested. Cracked heat exchangers flagged before winter, not during it.
Cold-climate heat pumps sized by a real Manual J load calculation, not a rule of thumb. Rebate paperwork filed for you.
Camera-inspected ductwork, brushed and vacuumed, leaky joints mastic-sealed. Most Boise homes gain 10–20% airflow.
Ecobee, Nest and Honeywell supplied, wired and configured — including the C-wire most older Boise houses are missing.
Two visits a year, priority scheduling, 15% off repairs and no overtime charge on emergency calls. $19 a month.
Rooftop packaged units in Garden City, ductless mini-splits in North End bungalows, and a 14-zone VRF retrofit for a dental group on Emerald. Same crew, same standard.

“I called at 7.40am about a dead AC and Dana was in the driveway before ten. He showed me the burnt contactor, quoted $186, and had the house cooling by lunch. That's the whole story — which is exactly what you want from an HVAC company.”
“Three companies quoted our heat pump. Aireco was the only one who measured the house instead of guessing off the square footage, and the only one who mentioned the Idaho Power rebate. Two winters in, the upstairs is finally warm.”
“We run four chairs and cannot close for a day. Their crew did our rooftop swap over a weekend, cleaned up, and left a laminated card with the filter sizes on the plant room door. Small thing. Nobody else does it.”
Call before noon on a weekday and a van is at your door the same afternoon, or the diagnostic fee is waived.
Idaho HVAC licence #HVC-C-14872, $2M liability cover, and every technician EPA 608 certified.
Flat-rate quote in writing on the spot. If the job turns out smaller than quoted, the invoice gets smaller too.
No phone tree, no overseas call centre. Nights and weekends the line rings through to the on-call tech.
Twice a year: the cooling side in March or April, the heating side in September or October. In the Treasure Valley the summer dust load is what kills condenser coils, so the spring visit matters more here than it does in wetter states.
Four signs worth a call: rooms that never reach the set point, a bill that jumped without a change in habits, short cycling (the unit starts and stops every few minutes), and any burning, metallic or musty smell at start-up. Any of those, book a diagnostic.
A furnace in Boise usually gives 18–22 years, an air conditioner 12–16, a heat pump 12–15. Annual servicing adds roughly four years to each of those numbers, which is most of what a comfort plan pays for.
We size from a Manual J load calculation — square footage, insulation, window area, orientation and duct condition. An oversized unit costs more, cools unevenly and dies younger, so this is the one step worth insisting on from any installer.
Most often a filter that hasn't been changed in months, followed by leaking ductwork and low refrigerant. All three are cheap to find and cheap to fix; a tune-up will identify which one you have.
Start with a MERV 11 filter changed every 90 days. If allergies persist, the order that actually works is: seal the ducts, add a whole-home media cabinet, then consider a UV lamp. Portable purifiers are last, not first.
Yes — 24 hours, every day of the year, including holidays. Call (208) 555-0147 and the line rings straight through to the on-call technician. Comfort plan members pay no overtime rate.
Every 90 days for a standard 1-inch pleated filter, every 30–45 days if you have pets or run the fan continuously, and monthly during wildfire smoke season. A 4-inch media filter goes six to twelve months.
For efficiency, set the thermostat to 78°F in summer and 68°F in winter when you're home, and let it drift 7–10 degrees while you're out or asleep. A programmable or smart thermostat will do that for you and typically saves about 8% a year.
Yes. Approved applicants get 0% for 18 months, or terms up to 120 months on larger installs. We also file Idaho Power and Intermountain Gas rebate paperwork on your behalf, which is usually worth $300–$1,200.
One call gets you a real technician, a firm price and a time window you can plan your day around.
