Shared inbox software, and when you don't need one

Front, Missive and Hiver solve a real problem: several people, one address, nobody sure who replied. Prices read from each vendor's own page on 3 September 2026 — and they are further apart than you would expect.

Editor’s VerdictCopy Link

Missive

$14 · $24 per user/mo

Best if the price matters and the team is small

Starter is $14 per user per month billed yearly, Productive $24 — roughly half of Front or Hiver for the same core job. Starter covers email, SMS and social accounts, team spaces, conversations and tasks, with SOC 2 Type II on every tier. Rules and automations sit on Productive, so a team that wants routing is really comparing $24 against the others' entry price. Thirty-day free trial with no card.

Front

$25 · $65 · $105 per seat/mo

Best if you will outgrow a small tool

Starter is $25 per seat per month billed annually, capped at 10 seats and — the limit that bites first — 10 automation rules. Professional is $65 per seat up to 50 seats, adding omnichannel, macros, 20 rules, multiple workspaces, SSO and SCIM. Enterprise is $105. The ladder is steep, but it is the one built for a support function that keeps growing rather than a practice that stays the size it is.

Hiver

$25 · $55 · $85 per user/mo

Best if you want to stay inside Gmail

Two products now, and the pricing page defaults to the wrong one for most small teams. Hiver Omni runs $25, $55 and $85 per user per month; the separate 'Hiver in Gmail' product is the one that keeps your team working in the Gmail interface they already use. Growth at $25 includes shared inbox and ticketing, rule-based automations, AI agents and 24/7 support. SLAs, customer portal and API access are held back to Pro at $55.
