Follow-ups

Nothing you promised gets forgotten

Marlow runs this — the colleague whose one job is follow-ups

Every thing you said you would do and every thing someone owes you, held from the moment it was written. When a thread goes quiet past the point it should have, the chaser is already drafted.

Both directions

A commitment has two sides, and both get dropped.

Reminders only ever cover the half you remembered to write down. Clarity reads both: the sentence where you promised something, and the request where somebody owes you.

How the chasing works

Four rungs over nine days, then it hands back.

It escalates, then stops

Each chase is a little firmer than the last. After four, it stops and hands the thread back to you rather than nagging a customer forever.

An answer ends it instantly

The moment somebody replies, the ladder stops and the item leaves the list. No chaser goes out after the thing arrived.

You decide what sends itself

Chasing a document can run on its own. Anything about money always asks first. You set which is which, per workflow.

What it is worth

The follow-ups that used to depend on remembering.

Investor relations
I hate to admit it, I used to drop the ball and miss follow-ups with investors and clients. Clarity now catches those for me. It's like I got an EA that knows my priorities.
